Well, all semester I have been trying to make a speech about this man, and I am totally prepared to do it. I am going to be persuading you guys that Kanye West deserves a second chance. Okay, so it isn't the most SERIOUS topic, but I've never been that serious, and after the seriousness of my informative speech, I think it is for the best! --Kylen McCudden
ReplyDeleteIm not really too sure yet on what i want my persuasive speech is on, but i am leaning toward making a speech about persuading the class on being fit and staying healthy. such as working out and eating right. i really like working out and its kinda a hobbie for me. so i would like for the class to get on fittness train along with me! :D

I'm swaying between two topics. The first topic would be to persuade the class to watch what they say on the internet and bump up their privacy settings on social networking site for a plethora of different reasons which i'd discuss in the speech, or to persuade the class to avoid illegal digital downloading of music and what effects such actions have on the music industry. i have ideas for both, but i'm not sure. i think i'm leaning towards the music one, though :).

Yep im a little bit more excited about this one cause it will be something i am really into the topic i am going to do is why playing sports is important/good for people. i will be using myself and some of my closest and succesfull friends as examples to prove my points. after this informative speech we only have one more?? thats good that means summer is almost here.

What keeps us safe in our vehicles? Safety devises. For my persuasive speech I will be explaining why safety devises in our vehicle are so important. Such as car seats and booster seats for children, seat belts for adults, air bags, and how important it is how a car is designed. Maybe I can persuade you in getting a car with the proper safety devises, air bags, or just remembering that putting on your seat belt can save your life.

I have no idea. My last speech i wrote it the night before and it was about my boring job at McD's. This time around maybe ill try to persuade you all to read more because i love reading and its awesome!(and Sandra suggested it) But seriously its good to know things...things from books =D and hey reading comes in handy when looking out for warning signs, news, and stuff like that.. i dont know.. But anywho GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!! only a couple weeks left to go!!!!

Ok so... My persuasive speech is going to be about why people should not have kids. This topic matters to me for many reasons which I choose not list for my own personal matters. However...For those that have a dog and call them their kids that's totally different and I am one of them. Anyways from reading all of the other topics so far it sounds like I am going to be persuaded.

ReplyDeleteI wanted to do my topic on Go Orange for the animals, but I’m leaning more towards: Why you should go green. Both topics are important to me, because going green can lead to a better environment and life and Go Orange for the animals because I love animals. Most likely I’ll end up doing Go Green, but I still have this weekend to think about it.
im not to sure on what the heck im gioing to do it on but i really want it to be very persuasive to like actually influence perhaps i was thinking on doing my speech on like persuading people to not drive their cars to work or school at least once a week for green earth (which i dont think will never really happen society is lazy) but not to sure yet.. and megan i liked your speech is interesting cause yah working at a fast food restaurant is not easy at all especially mcdonalds omg!! and omg the customer is not always right!lol
ReplyDeleteI will be persuading everyone to support same sex parenting. This is important to me since I am a same sex parent, and luckily enough I live in a state where it is legal. I will also be encouraging adoption rather than other means of starting a family.
ReplyDeleteI think Kylen's speech could be interesting if she talks about all the good things he does for the world of music.
I think Franks topic will be very interesting. You might want to include statistics about the prevalence of obesity, and maybe some easy ways to eat better.
For the illegal downloads, I think it would be good to include the recent cases of people being sued by the record companies for millions of dollars for their downloading.
For car safety I think it would be good to tell how not all car seats are the same, and the reccomended ages/weight that kids should be in a car seat. I think it might also be good to persuade people not to drive when too tired, a lot of people do it.
As far as having kids goes, I hope you are trying to get people to adopt rather than procreate. I think having kids is very rewarding, and don't think you will be very effective in convincing anyone otherwise.
Yes I agree--good topics but Joe--I would try a different thesis, such as: Persuade my audience to consider adoption in addition to getting pregnant or persuade my audience that infertility is not a closed door to parenting, but not to have kids is a tough sell for our audience and audience analysis matters MUCHO! I guess I chose my topic Pc > Mac because it was in my mind at the time. I couldn't think of anything else to use as a persuasive speech. I think it can go both ways I will just have to persuade you why I think one is better than the other.

If you put an elderly relative in a nursing home I INSIST you visit them. This is such a hard speech for me because I feel in order to be persuasive you have to feel passionately about the topic. And seeing my residents who never get a visit, some not even on holidays, I cannot stress enough the importance of communication and visits.
ReplyDeleteJordan- I love your topic. Drunk driving always seems to be so overdone, but I think that as a prevailing danger in society, the message can never be presented too much. Especially when it comes from one's own age group. People need a good kick in the butt.
Eric, I'm interested in the PC/Mac debate as long as it isn't the typical, "______ sucks because it can't do this." The debate can go either way- it'd be great to see differences between the two for those who aren't familiar with both systems.
Stefan. I've enjoyed how all of your speeches have been related (granted I missed your informative). However, I'm most excited for this one. Gaga is fantastic and I'm all for gay rights, but I can get a good idea of how much you love your family. You're passionate when you talk casually, so I'm excited to hear what you have to say about your son. Lots of pictures, yes???

For my topic...it will be on "Why you shouldn't use Facebook." I used to be a Facebook user, but I feel it has negative side effects, and I wanna talk about what it's doing to society as a whole...as far as some of the before mentioned topics, I think they are all good. I think Eric's, pc vs mac will be a good one.

I decided to do mine on why you shoul et healthy!!! I was gunna do my speech on why eating breakfast is good but I found it hard.. Eating healthy topic was found in my nutrtion book!!! Even tho I did my speech today it was pretty hard to come up with it with out wathing a pre run fort by someone else... It was a guessing game for me, but I'm glad I went early stress releaver!!
