One thing you didn't like about me, my class or the portable we met in and use logic and persuasion to validate your claim! Have fun with it, I won't take it personally...however compliments accepted too! Smiles--Your Proud Teacher
I just can't think of anything I didn't like in this life changing course! XO Sandra's Mother (HAPPY MOM'S DAY!!!)
ReplyDeleteI did not like the fact that our class met in the portables because (b/c) I had a few good visual aids for the last speech that were on-line, which would have made my speech 2 mins longer and a whole lot stronger. But anywho lets talk about this en class fiesta. It sounds like it is going to be a steller par-ta. I also didn't like how the heat was never on in the classroom during the winter and then randomly when the weather got Hot and nice outside the heat came on in the room to like 79 degrees F. So that aspect was just plain dumb. Otherwise good class overall and I enjoyed it. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteJordan....
ReplyDeleteI also didn't like how our classroom was in the portables with no internet connection. For my last speech I would of liked to have some more electronic resources to show a visual(s) online. I also thought some of our assignments were a little random, for example the pop logs. Other than that I enjoyed the class and learned a lot. Thank you mucho!!!
Ok, since I could never give you a hip-hop style rap, you get a PG rated rant. The internet wasn't a big deal to me. All I had to do was load up the videos/webpage the night before, and keep it on the page until class time. Simple solution. I didn't like, however, the bleakness of the room. So empty and white, and plain. The windows barely let any light in, and there wasn't even a plant or anything lol. Not quite as bad as my math class, which has NO windows and no displays, but still pretty bad. I really liked this class though. I love any excuse to get up and talk to people, and this made me feel like less of an ego-maniac while doing so :p. Great class, would be interested in taking a different speech class with you in the future! thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll bring some food Wednesday...Since it's the last day, that means we can eat cookies and sugar before 8am, right? :)
Uh yes Alyssa cookies, sweets at 8:00 is totally okay! I like oatmeal cookies yum with choc chips.
ReplyDeleteSo I have to say word, to all the homies who lasted until the end. The dopest part of being in speech besides gaining made game is soaking up all of ya'lls energy. Word.
Uh does that sound like a rap it does at home when I'm talking to my kids.
Good luck to everyone and ps I didn't like all the random furniture or how the desks were always in different spots. But I did like you Sandra.
Peace I'm out!
i didnt like the fact it was in the portables it was too cold like a comms class in the portable that was extremely cold NOT GOOD ..and i agree with joe it was kinda hard because it was difficult cause there would be times where i wanted to do my visual aids like on a powerpoint or something and it was kinda impossible besides the classroom pretty good nice to have a energetic teacher very early in the morning otherwise id be falling asleep. The cookies were sweet huh andrea?? SAndra maybe you should consider this whenever you have like really early or really late class snacks (sweets) are always welcomed and appreciated so like have like once a week random volunteers bring snacks sounds like a kindergarden thing lol but it really is nice especially during a very early class keeps pepole awake and very helpful especially in a scary speech class. Well everyone good luck and we must thank Sandra for her help and her enthusiasm that i think kept many of us in !!!
ReplyDeletei agree a pg style rap??? lol kinda hard to do this aint kids bop lol i agree with everyone a powerpoint would have made alot of the speeches alot easier but besides that i enjoyed the class it helped me alot on my speech giving abilitys i thought i wasnt very shy and know thanks to having to give all the sppeches i KNOW im not. learned alot thanks sandra
ReplyDeletelast one was by me...mando

ReplyDeleteEveryone's bashing the portables so I'm just gonna come out and say I actually liked having class in the portables because it's a close walk from the parking garage and I'm lazy and do not like walking early in the morning so for that reason I liked the portables. Fun class though, thank you Sandra for trying to keep it entertaining.
What about the overhead projector???? That's a skill you got in the broken down portable ghetto classroom you'll reap the benefits from for years to come!!!!! Put it on your resume,I would!
ReplyDeleteMy PG Rap: Yo, yo yo, whose freaken house is it?????? My name is 'Dra and I like the kuh----myunication that is...ROLLING: intro body, 'clusion, feel the knowledge oozin' we gettn'loud, we get a crowd, see: your teacher bein' proud. I'm out, homies--MC 'Dra
ReplyDeleteI think it was quite easy to see the only thing that was lame about speech was the straight up awful classroom that made it hard to properly preach. Sandra, you made everything a breeze, and to my fellow classmates you always made me feel at ease. Thanks for putting up with my crazy words and for teaching me new things and persuading me to get up off the couch and to be heard. The portables sucked for those of us tech savvy nuts but we didn't let it get us into a rut. -- Special K(ylen)
ReplyDeleteWurd Kylen!
ReplyDeleteFirst day of class rollin in through the "deadly typhoon-monsoon" just to get there on time wasnt the business what so ever. I didnt like giving speeches but it had to be done even though I was forever tired because the class was so early. The teach was koo little weird at times though. The portables weren't so pleasent to be in but oh well ...

Heres my lame rap:
ReplyDeleteI didnt like our lack of technology.
It really limited my methodology.
No net, no projector, just an old tv,
what does the school expect from me.
The Tv is too small, it doesnt to gaga right
and dissin my gaga makes me want to fight
The new building opens soon so i hope its cool
otherwise no one will come to school.
730 is too early for most of us
and when its cold I just want to cuss.
All these problems keep adding up,
and i hope that iv done enough
so now Im worried about getting my A.
Hey Sandra, how much you want, cuz I will pay!
E.GO STAR
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! These are getting GOOD! I'll miss you guys! SANDRA

ReplyDeleteWell, there was absolutely one thing I just hated about this course; it was the fact that we had to have class in those portable. First of all it was way too cold 49 degrees is too cold for a classroom at 7:30 in the morning. Second we had very few options props and aids. That projector was from the 1970's, it would have been nice to have an LCD projector in there. Other than the room location, this class was awesome, and I'm glad that I chose this 7:30 class on Mondays and Wednesdays, it was great.
HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! More rap, c'mon everyone!
ReplyDeleteThis class was my first class i ever took at college. I have to say the people were great and it was the one class i looked forward to. ALTHOUGH why did my first class have to be at 7:30 in the morning? Waking up everyday at 5:00 sucked. Not to mention our first days were filled with rain and coldness. and when we got in the classroom, there was nothing but MORE COLDNESS. If i wasnt afraid of the classroom burning down i would have brought a heater. Well maybe not because then we would all fall asleep. Thanks for everything Sandra!

The classroom environment reminded me of high school...which sucked. Other than that, the relxed atmosphere was great especially for a 730am class. I also enjoyed the instruction, I felt it was very informative and helpful. Overall a nice class to take. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOne thing I didnt like was we could hear the noise from outside (when someone was talking at the hallway), it was kind of destruction to someone who was doing the speech but other than than I like the class. Prof. Sandra thank you.
ReplyDeletethe last one was me-Anna A.
ReplyDeleteYou are sooooooo right Anna!
ReplyDeleteOk so what i didnt like about the class was that its was so DARN!!! cool in there during those cool days. sometimes cooler then it was outside. Also that you needed some code to even make the heater turn on, it was crazy. I needed like two sweaters and a coat just to make it through the class. other then that getting up in the morning wasnt to bad, i guess im more of a morning person. i really enjoyed the class and i feel like its a lot easier for me to talk infront of people then it was when i first started! Thanks Sandra your such a COOL teacher and hope to have you again in a nother class!
ReplyDeletetake care to you and every one in the class.
Peace!
Frank Lopez!
